Nikon today has officially released the firmware version 2.20 for Nikon Z6 & Z7 full frame mirrorless cameras. The main update is that Z6 & Z7 now support CFexpress memory cards, currently only Sony CFexpress cards are fully supported by Nikon Z6 & Z7, you can buy at Adorama/B&H Photo Video. Nikon also announced that Z6 and Z7 owners can send their cameras to a Nikon Service Center for a paid upgrade ($200) to add Raw video output.
According to latest rumors on NR, Nikon is planning to release a new firmware update for Nikon Z6 and Z7 full frame mirrorless camera next week, probably on December 17th, Tuesday. The main update of this firmware is ProRes RAW update and improved autofocus.
Nikon will officially release the firmware updates for Nikon Z6 & Z7 on May 16th. This new firmware will add Eye-detection AF for Z6 & Z7. According to NR, this firmware will also improve low light focus capability for Z6 & Z7.
