I hope the D6 has built-in GPS as found with the Nikon D5300 from 2013 and Coolpix P510 from 2012, and available with the Canon 1D X Mark II, Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 6D (2012), Canon 6D Mark II, and Canon 7D Mark II.

Nikon was the first to provide automatic geotagging of image files with its first DSLR cameras but then as now one has to tack on a GPS receiver or a third-party Bluetooth adapter to do this even with the current generation of Nikon DSLR cameras. A $2700 Canon DSLR has this capability but not a $3300 D850 or a $6500 D5 camera.

But for the D850 and the 500mm PF lens, I would have switched back to Canon to have these and other features, including the superior autofocus of the 1D Mark II and the much broader range of Canon telephoto lenses available.

Difficult to say. Also the fact that all camera manufacturers avoid mentioning to the very last second if the sensor has an AA low pass filter.
I didn’t have the best of luck with the Nikon D850, there was always far too many artificial details super imposed on images when it couldn’t figure out what was coming from the sensor. It’s unclear as to what the D6 or D760 will offer. I would like the see the D6 with a mode with the D750 24mpix dynamic range. No BSI sensors for the D6/760 as there are no proven Sony sensor models with low light accurate resolving high pixel pitch/angle unless they take the D750 24mpix sensor. The Z6 sensor does AF lock on well in low light but that is useless if it can’t resolve the image without gluing in artificial details that make images look weird native lenses or not.

I don’t care at all about GPS in the camera.. I can keep track of where i took my photos.. and if I cant remember i can do GPS plot from phone for the times in question.

However I would like the D6 to match or exceed 20fps, and have superfast eye-af second to none.

Hopefully Nikon truly sinks in some really well needed additions to the camera. The D850 hit a home run…I’m hoping Nikon releases the Beast! Let the D6 Reign Supreme Nikon. I am sooooooo ready to upgrade. I’m actually willing to give up kidney for it. Just DO NOT try to up the ISO to some ridiculous number. Once released make sure the D6 feates trikle down to the new mirrorless systems as I will want to add a companion to the D6. Feature set is the key to sales Nikon!
