According to NR, Nikon is planning to announce an new NIKKOR 60mm Macro lens to replace current AF-S Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED lens. The new NIKKOR 60mm Macro lens is rumored to be announced in early 2018.
According to NR, this upcoming lens was the reason for the delay of the Nikon ES-2 film digitizing adapter set – Nikon wanted to ensure that the adapter will be compatible with the new macro lens.
