Nikon has officially announced the development of long awaited Z9 flagship full frame mirrorless camera today. Release date is expected in the second half of 2021. You can take a look at rumored specs of Nikon Z 9 here.
dpreview has a chance to interview with Nikon manager Keiji Oishi, talking about Nikon’s latest products and upcoming products. Keiji Oishi has confirmed that flagship Z-mount 8K full frame mirrorless camera will be released within the year (Nikon Z1 or Z9 ?), to compete with Sony a1 and Canon’s upcoming EOS-R1.
According to Nokishita, Nikon has just registered two new camera codes in Russia. These two new camera codes are N2014 and N2016. As Nikon interview at CP+ 2021, Nikon will announce many new products in 2021. So these two new camera codes could be upcoming Nikon Z1 or Z8/Z9. Stay tuned for more info.
During the CP+ 2021 online presentations, Nikon general manager Mr. Satoshi Yamazaki confirmed that Nikon is going to release many new products in 2021.
As already rumored before, both Canon and Sony are expected to announce their flagship full frame mirrorless cameras in 2021. Now according to latest rumors on NR, Nikon is also rumored to announce a new flagship full frame mirrorless camera – Nikon Z9 in the second half of 2021.
