At CES 2019, Nikon has updated the lens roadmap for Nikon Z-mount full frame mirrorless cameras. There will be a total of 23 Z-mount mirrorless lenses by 2021. Compared to previous Z-mount lens roadmap, the NIKKOR Z 24mm f/1.8 S lens has changed from 2020 to 2019, the NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 S lens has changed from 2019 to 2020.
The new announced NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S Lens (Amazon/B&H Photo Video/Adorama) and Nikon Z6 Filmmaker’s Kit (Amazon/B&H Photo Video/Adorama) now available for pre-order online. The NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S lens will be shipping in late April, 2019. The Nikon Z6 Filmmaker’s Kit will be shipping in late January, 2019.

This compact lens weighs just 485g (17oz) and supports screw-in (82mm) filters, a rarity for this type of lens. LensVid has interview with Mr. Dirk Jasper from Nikon Europe, talking about new Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. From the interview, Mr. Dirk Jasper said Nikon Z7(B&H/Adorama/Amazon) has better dynamic range and better continuous shooting than Nikon D850. Mr. Dirk Jasper also said that Nikon will continue to release F-mount lenses for the foreseeable future, but mirrorless cameras will become more dominant than DSLRs (even for professionals).
