Nokishita Camera has updated the details of upcoming unannounced Nikon camera codes. Nikon currently has a total of 7 unannounced Nikon camera codes. According to Nokishita Camera, the N1722 is a full frame mirrorless camera, and N1912 is the Nikon Z50 APS-C mirrorless camera. And N1845, N1847, N1849, N1850 haven’t been updated since they were registered in Russia in January, so there seems to be a possibility of postponing or discontinuing development.
Nikon has also registered three unannounced camera codes N1722 (First time saw this code), N1834, N1912 at Chinese MIIT. According to registered info, the N1722 and N1912 has same 5.8GHz Wi-Fi as already released Nikon Z6 & Z7 full frame mirrorless cameras. As already rumored before, the N1912 could be Nikon’s first APS-C Z-mount mirrorless camera. The N1722 could be either Nikon D6 flagship DSLR camera or Nikon Z8 high-megapixel full frame mirrorless camera. While there is still no info about N1834 (Could be upcoming Nikon D760 ?)
The upcoming Nikon’s APS-C Z-mount mirrorless camera is expected to be announced in later 2019. According to our source, this Z-mount mirrorless camera could use Sony’s 26MP IMX571 APS-C CMOS sensor. You can take a look at specs sheet of IMX571 here. The Fujifilm X-T3 and X-T30 also use this sensor.
