The replacement of currently NIKKOR 200-400mm f/4G ED VR II lens is rumored to be announced soon, the new lens will be AF-S NIKKOR 180-400mm f/4 ED TC VR lens, with a built-in 1.4x teleconverter.
According to NR, this new lens will have a very sophisticated optical formula around 30 elements. Expect a very high price tag, price maybe around $10,000 in US, similar as Canon version for $10,999.
